CANNES SHOPPING

Rue d`Antibes

Cannes, South of France

This has always been my favorite shopping street.

I do most of my shopping here, because it´s so convenient.

I always find what I´m looking for

and I don´t need to spend too much time on shopping.

The shops in Cannes are concentrated between La Croisette

and Rue d`Antibes. All designer shops are easily covered by foot.

Den här gatan har varit min favorit-shopping gata i mer än 30 år.

Här hittar man allt inom promenadavstånd.

Gatan är nyrenoverad och har blivit mer elegant.

SNOWSTORM HAS PASSED...

AND LEFT A WINTER WONDERLAND

I would love to go out and take some photos,

but that´s not possible yet.

I have to wait that the snow trucks have cleared the roads.

Jag skulle så gärna vilja gå ut och fota,

men jag kommer ju inte ut.

Får vänta till snön plogats bort från vägarna.

SNOWSTORM IS HERE!

The weather service website has crashed through traffic being to high.

The catamaran ferry is cancelled due to high waves.

Trains and buses are cancelled due to snow chaos.

"Our" road is closed due to strong wind-driven snow and severe drifting.

The feeling of isolation increases.

I´ll make the best of it -

I´ll spend this evening together with a book,

which has been waiting much too long for me.

And by this time tomorrow, everything will be over!!!

MORE SNOW

My fruit garden

THIS IS THE WORST WINTER IN 70 YEARS.

Snow chaos shuts transport service.

Trains and buses have been cancelled.

Roads have been closed.

It´s not over yet - more snow is on the way.

I´m longing for Spring colours ! ! !

I LOVE THE SMELL OF ROSES

It´s the rose of sweet thoughts.

SPOTTED BEAUTY

Today I feel the need to post a warm and cheerful photo.

The weather has been really tough lately.

Snow and ice conditions make life difficult here.

Train and buses have been cancelled, roads have been closed,

lots of car accidents have been reported.

Yesterday when I visited the harbour of Kåseberga

one of the fishing boats had sunk during the night.

The pressure of the ice made a big whole on her port side.

I really hope she will soon recover!
